Berkeley Up To 91 Positive Coronavirus Cases

BERKELEY, NJ — Officials have reported 91 cases of the novel coronavirus as of Thursday evening in Berkeley. The total includes eight new cases since Wednesday's report.

The Ocean County Health Department has reported 1,408 positive cases as of Thursday. Thirty-eight people in Ocean County have died from the virus, according to state officials. Read more: 15 More Coronavirus Deaths In Ocean County: NJ Officials

There has not been a town-by-town breakdown on deaths provided by either state or county health officials. At least six of the Ocean County deaths have been rabbis in Lakewood, according to publicly posted notices on several websites.

State officials reported 182 new deaths from the coronavirus Thursday around the state, raising New Jersey's total to 537. The state also announced 3,489 new cases, raising the state's total to 25,590. Read more: Gov. Murphy: 182 More Deaths; Coronavirus Now In 474 NJ Towns
