Berkeley Class Teaches Kids Sports Drills And Skills

BERKELEY, NJ — The Super Sports Skills and Drills class gives young children a chance to get comfortable with sports through a non-competitive environment. The class takes place from 9:30-11 a.m. June 24-25 at Veterans Park on Tilton Boulevard.

The class — sponsored by Ocean County Parks & Recreation — is for children ages 7-10. It costs $12 per child. Sports may include tennis, softball, basketball and soccer.

Children should bring a baseball glove to the first class if available. Kids should also wear sneakers and bring a cold drink.

Young athletes will learn several lead-up games to many team sports.
