Berkeley Coronavirus Update: 424 Cases, 50 Deaths
The health department reported 6,093 cases and 352 deaths in Ocean County on Tuesday.
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ—The number of new coronavirus cases and deaths in Berkeley Township has again increased, according to the Ocean County Health Department.
As of Tuesday evening, health officials reported 424 positive cases and two additional deaths, which brings the total number now to 50.
To date, the department is reporting 6,093 cases and 352 deaths in Ocean County.

More than 76 percent of those deaths have occurred in people 65 years of age and older.
The 19-44 age group currently make up the majority of coronavirus cases, county health officials reported. They are followed by the 45-64 crowd.

More than half of the county's coronavirus cases are men, according to OCHD. As of Tuesday, women made up 45.86 percent of the cases.
