Berkeley Fundraiser For Student Fighting Brain Tumor
Lukas Koenig was looking forward to celebrating his 20th birthday when his health took a turn for the worse.

BERKELEY, NJ — Lukas Koenig was looking forward to celebrating his 20th birthday when his health took a turn for the worse. He thought he had a stomach virus. But Koenig learned at a hospital visit that he had cancer.
Koenig was diagnosed with a non-germinomatous germ cell tumor — a rare form of brain cancer. He could use the community's help. A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Koenig will take place from 3-8 p.m. Oct. 5 at Central Regional High School.
He has undergone several surgeries in the last five months and is currently enduring chemotherapy, radiation and neurocognitive therapy.

Koenig has tremendous support from family, friends and his beloved dog, Kobe. But the fundraiser will ease some of the financial burden on him and is family.
An online fundraiser is also up on crowdrise.com. Click here to donate.
