Berkeley To Hold Annual 'Night Out Against Crime'
Berkeley police, firefighters and emergency services will be on hand for a night that includes a concert and fireworks.
BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township will host its eighth annual "Night Out Against Crime" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Veterans Park. Berkeley police, firefighters and emergency services will be on hand for a night that includes a concert and fireworks.
Public-safety agencies will greet residents and display their equipment and vehicles.
"It’s been a tremendous success since Chief DiMichele and I started this 7 years ago," Mayor Carmen F. Amato said in a statement. "It allows the public to interact with our public safety agencies. Our award winning DARE Program will also be on hand with games and prizes for the children to enjoy.”

After National Night Out, The Infernos Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. The band will sing four decades of music.
The night finishes with a fireworks display sponsored by Berkeley PBA Local 237 after the concert.

Refreshments will be provided.
National Night Out helps police departments around the nation build camaraderie with their communities and make them safer, more caring places to live and work.
