Berkeley, Lacey Police Looking For Lacey Man Suspected Of More Than 20 Car Burglaries
A warrant has been issued Joshua Everett, 39, for stealing money, electronics and credit cards from unlocked vehicles.

Berkeley and Lacey police are looking for a Lacey Township man who is accused of more than 20 car burglaries over the past several months, primarily in the waterfront sections of Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
“As the investigation, developed it included not only motor vehicle burglaries, but eventually home burglaries,” the chief said.

Police identified Joshua Everett, 39, as a suspect and executed a search warrant on Jan. 28 at Everett’s home on East Lacey Road in Forked River. They recovered a large amount of evidence linking Everett to multiple burglaries in several towns, DiMichele said
Detectives from Lacey Township and Ocean Gate assisted in the investigation, the chief said.

“Their contributions were vital into the identification of both the suspect and additional victims as well as the actual search warrant execution,” DiMichele said. “These burglaries are still under investigation and more charges are expected.”
“He has been a suspect in the rash of burglaries occurring throughout Lacey, Berkeley and Waretown,” Lacey Police Chief David A. Paprota said. “Charges are pending in Lacey, following further matching of proceeds recovered in the search warrant to specific victims in Lacey.”
So far police have linked Everett to more than 20 vehicle burglaries and one home burglary. A warrant has been issued for his arrest with a $35,000 cash bail.
Everett has refused to turn himself in and has evaded arrest. Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact their local police agency or the Berkeley Township Police at 732-341-1132. Information can remain anonymous.
