Berkeley Library To Hold Suicide Prevention Training

You can register now for the Sept. 25 program.

BERKELEY, NJ — The Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library will host "Suicide Prevention: QPR Training" at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25.

QPR stands for question, persuade, refer — the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and refer someone to help.

The program is presented by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services of the NJ Department of Human Resources. The Ocean County Library Cultural Awareness Team and the Ocean County Library Training Department have sponsored the program.
