Berkeley Officials Monitoring Weekend Storm Forecast

Residents are urged to make preparations just in case; township officials say Berkeley will be ready if the storm brings heavy snow.

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township authorities say they are monitoring the forecast for the weekend and the potential effects of a winter storm.

Berkeley Township police shared a message on the department's Facebook page from Mayor Carmen Amato and the township's Office of Emergency Management that the township will be prepared.

"We are watching the weather closely and will continue to update the community as the weather track becomes more finite," the message said.

The emergency management office said possible effects of the storm include:

  • Heavy rain/wind
  • Snow from several inches to 10 inchess
  • Moderate flooding along the coast
