Berkeley Police Give 2 Kids The VIP Treatment

A boy battling cancer asked to see a police car. He and his sister got to do so much more.

BERKELEY, NJ — Say hello to Berkeley's two newest police officers. Miles, a boy battling pediatric kidney cancer, asked to see a police car. The Berkeley Township Police Department gave Miles and his sister, Q, so much more.

Berkeley police let Miles sit in the driver's seat of a police vehicle, where he got to experience the sirens and lights. They also let the children see all around the department.

Cancer limits the activities Miles can do. But his treatment is going well, and he's getting ready to start kindergarten in the fall.
