Berkeley Police Make Another Narcan Save In Bayville

Incident happened on Osprey Lane on Aug. 23, police chief says.

Berkeley police recently revived a Bayville man with Narcan after his mother called them to their Osprey Lane home about a possible overdose, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Christopher Elliott, Sgt. Joseph Robertazzi and Patrolman Ed Hendrickson responded to the home at 8:29 p.m. on Aug. 23. The victim’s mother told police her son might have taken an unknown substance and overdosed, the chief said.

The subject was breathing slowly and was unresponsive when police arrived. Elliott administered Narcan and after a short time, the subject became more responsive. He was taken to Community Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment, DiMichele said.
