Berkeley Police Make Two Narcan Saves On The Same Day

Both incidents happened on May 25, police chief says.

Berkeley Township police officers made not one, but two Narcan saves on the same day recently, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

The first happened at 2 p.m. when Patrolmen Robert Flanegan, Patrolman John Wilusz, and Mike Ptaszenski responded to a call at a local food establishment on a report of an unresponsive adult male. They administered Narcan and the Bayville First Aid Squad transported the man to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

The second incident happened at 11:30 p.m. Patrolman Nick Bondulich responded to a residence on Route 9 in Bayville for a reported drug overdose. The victim said he ingested a drug. He was treated with Narcan and taken to Community Medical Center, the chief said.
