Berkeley's Annual Community Pride Day Kicks Off Saturday

Event starts at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park in Bayville, rain or shine, mayor says.

Berkeley Township’s annual Community Pride Day - the official end of the township’s Summer Concert Series - will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Veterans Park in Bayville, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.

A number of vendors, crafters and nonprofit organizations with food, information and other items for purchase will be on hand. Many nonprofit organizations in the township taken advantage of the event to raise funds.

The James Thomas Martin Mix will open the concert at 5:30 p.m. They will be followed later by The Infernos. The evening will end with a tradition fireworks display at dusk.

The event is rain or shine. For more information, go to the Berkeley Township Recreation Department website at wwwbtrec.org.

Township officials are also planning a short remembrance ceremony for 9-11 victims, the mayor said.
