BERKELEY, NJ — Central Regional High School will hold a celebration of comics, film and all things fun and nerdy. The first-ever Central-Con takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

Comic Con is a major annual entertainment and comic book convention. Major events take place in San Diego and New York, while other Comic Con celebrations take place throughout the nation.

Central-Con brings the celebration to Berkeley. The family-friendly event gives people the chance to "connect with fellow geeks in the local scene," according to the Facebook event page.
