Central Regional Student's Documentary Chosen for the Lighthouse International Film Festival

Central Regional Class of 2013 student's documentary chosen for the Lighthouse International Film Festival!

The effects of Hurricane Sandy have no doubt made the history books.  The courageous acts of heroism, the outpouring of volunteerism and donations, and the heartbreaks of residents throughout New Jersey continue to be the focus of many newspaper articles, television reports and film documentaries.

Central Regional Advanced TV Production student, Danielle McAllister, produced a documentary titled "The Relief Effort" that has been chosen for the Lighthouse International Film Festival.  The documentary, based on Hurricane Sandy, focuses on the storm effects and the relief and recovery efforts.

According to their mission statement, "the Lighthouse International Film Festival is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative films and fostering  the next generation of filmmakers.  The festival offers three days of films, panels, Q&A's, networking, parties and surfing, and draws some of the industry's top film critics, producers and distributors.  The festival also seeks to serve the community by presenting unique programs that inspire, engage and challenge a diverse audience through the art of film."
