Car Drives Into Bayville Rite Aid, Knocks Down Wall: Police

A single car drove into the side of the Rite Aid on Route 9 in Bayville Sunday morning, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A car drove into the Bayville Rite Aid and partially knocked down the exterior wall Sunday morning, police said.

Berkeley Township police said that a Jeep Wrangler drove into the Rite Aid on Route 9 at 11:33 a.m. on Sunday. No one was injured.

The car hit the side of the building and partially knocked down the exterior wall, police said.

The Rite Aid was deemed unsafe by Berkeley construction officials and is now closed pending repairs.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Berkeley Township Traffic Safety Unit.
