The Bayville Volunteer First Aid Squad completed this month Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR training for the employees of the Caterpillar Room Childcare Center & Preschool here in Berkeley. The squads American Heart Association certified instructor conducted the class which covered basic CPR for adults, children and infants, and included the use of automated external defibrillators or AEDs as well how to identify and help individuals who are choking and those individuals having a breathing problems and would require rescue breathing. Upon successful completion of the course the employees took and passing the practical and written exam and received their two year CPR certification from American Heart Association. The cost of the class is $30.00 per student, with a minimum of three students and maximum of nine students per class. Classes are held at the Bayville Volunteer First Aid Squad or can be held at your business.
