Central Regional High School Seniors sign with Georgetown and Columbia Universities
Central Regional High School - National Signing Day
As part of the Shore Conference National Signing Day on February 4, 2015, two outstanding Central Regional High School seniors signed with two very prestigious universities.
Amanda Carolan, an extremely talented and determined student-athlete, has signed with Georgetown University for the fall 2015. Amanda is a member of the National Honor Society and the Math, Science, and Spanish National Honor Societies. Amanda has won the Athletic Academic Award for Outstanding Scholar Athlete for the highest GPA for the past 3 years. She is also a four-year varsity soccer player with the school record for most career goals (108), most career assists (47), and most career points (371). Amanda will major in mathematics and continue her soccer career as a Georgetown Hoya.
Erin Trapp, an accomplished and dedicated student-athlete, has signed with Ivy League Columbia University for the fall 2015. With her weighted grade point average of 103.7, Erin was inducted into the National Honor Society, Math and Science Honor Societies. She is a standout soccer player who has led her team to three B-South Division Championships, State Sectional Finals, and a Shore Conference Final. Erin was chosen as Coaches All Division Team 2012-13, All Ocean 2nd Team 2012, All Ocean 1st Team 2013, and All Shore 3rd Team 2013. Erin will study Bio-Medical Engineering hile playing soccer as a Columbia Lion.
