Central Regional Mock Trial Team Wins County Competition

Central Regional Mock Trial Team wins county competition; the team will move on to the state competition on February 7!

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, the Central Regional Mock Trial Team competed in the Ocean County Mock Trial Tournament held at the historic Ocean County Courthouse. Central defeated 2 teams from Jackson Liberty and Brick Memorial and moved on to the semi-finals to come out on top defeating Brick Memorial for a second time. Central was the only undefeated team in this year’s county tournament.

The Central team moves on to the New Jersey State Competition to be held on February 7, 2018 at the New Jersey State Bar Foundation Headquarters, New Brunswick. Central will be competing for the state title against the Salem County Mock Trial Team for the win. Central students have been working with attorneys’, Jamie Ward and Isabella Triolo, practicing for hours with the support of coach Scott Alfano, Central Regional teacher, Andrew Fantasia, assistant team coach, and attorney Peter J. Bronzino. Congratulations to the Central Regional Mock Trial Team and good luck at the state competition!
