The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Beach winds will be from south at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells of around two feet. The ocean water temperature is 72 degrees. The lightning threat for today is moderate.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents, which means that wind and or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always have a flotation device with you in the water and swim only in guarded areas. Discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the lifeguards.

The UV index is a 7, which the NWS considers high.
High tide at Belmar arrived at 8:52 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 3:14 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:17 p.m.
