The next two days will be beautiful, but the heat index will soar again on Saturday.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s. Beach winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
The surf will be around three feet, with easterly swells of three feet. The ocean temperature is 76 degrees. There's a moderate risk of rip currents, which means that wind and or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always have a floatation device with you and swim only in guarded areas.

There is no lightning threat today. Bring your sunscreen. The UV index is a 9, which the NWS considers high.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet is at 9:29 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 3:40 p.m., followed by another high tide tonight at 9:43 p.m.
