Sunny skies, cooler ocean temperatures on the way.

The National Weather Service is call for mostly sunny skies today, with a high around 80 degrees.
Beach winds will be from the northeast around 10 miles per hour, switching over to the southeast in the afternoon.
The surf will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The surf temperature will be 68 degree, a ten-degree drop since Sunday. The rip current risk for today is moderate, which means wind and wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent currents.

Always have a flotation device with you in the water and swim only in guarded areas. Discuss possible surf zone hazards with the guards.
There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is a 7, which the NWS considers high.

Low tide at Barnegat Inlet arrived at 6:23 a.m. High tide will occur at 12:33 p.m., followed by another low tide at 6:44 p.m.
