Color Fest In Berkeley Supports Mental Health, Recovery Resources
This year's ALL Recovery Color Fest will feature two new activities.
BERKELEY, NJ — The second-annual "ALL Recovery Color Fest" is returning to combine family fun with opportunities to learn about community resources for mental health and substance use. The event takes place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Veterans Park.
In keeping with the theme, the main event will be a color run, walk or dance. Participants wear white while being doused with chalk-like powder at various stations. Individuals and families can sign up. Some choose themes to unify members.
Proceeds will support mental health and substance use peer support services, community outreach, education, awareness, and job readiness at The Mental Health Association – Ocean County.

Community members from several local agencies will set up information tables. Representatives from education, workforce development, housing, substance use, mental health and other partners will be participating in the community outreach.
“That’s how you build a stronger community. You get the word out about what you do, which helps people make a connection,” said organizer Racheal O’Dea, Director of The Mental Health Association – Ocean County. “For some people, this might be a first-time introduction to these agencies.”
Participating organizations include: Children's Home Society, Preferred Behavioral, Ocean Partnership for Children, Recalibrate for Veterans, Pinnacle Treatment, Ocean County Family Service Organization, Inc., Brighter Days Wellness Center, and Ocean County Health Department. Ocean First Foundation in Toms River is the main sponsor.
Cost to participate is $30 for adults and $15 for children 6 and up. The event is rain or shine. Click here to register.
