Township Councilman Angelo Guadagno said another vendor - a natural dog treats seller - has been added since last week’s first-ever farm market in Berkeley.

“The vendors were extremely happy with the first day,” Guadagno said. ” They have a good feeling about it. I’m still working on getting a few more.”

The market will not compete with any local businesses, since several of them - including the iconic Moore’s Farm Market - and a local organic farm are participating, he said.

“We are excited,” Guadagno said. ”We’re up to six vendors, possibly seven by next Tuesday.”

Other businesses will include Shore Shake and High Mountain Food, a gourmet food supplier known as the ”King of Mozzarelle” Guadagno said.

The market will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday during the summer at Veterans Park. Tuesdays were the only day the vendors could participate, since many of them already participate in other markets, he has said.
