County To Consider Preservation Of Cedar Creek Campground In Bayville

BERKELEY, NJ — The potential for 27.04 acres of Berkeley land is up for vote by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners this week.

The land would be preserved under the county's Natural Land Trust Fund Program, which protects open space in its natural state.

The property in question is Cedar Creek Campground and Cedar Plaza, located on Route 9.

Also up for preservation are a few small parcels on Good Luck Drive.

On Monday night, the Berkeley Township Council is set to pass a resolution supporting the county's acquisition of the land.

A public hearing on the acquisition is set for the Board of Commissioners meeting at 4 p.m. on July 19.
