Dorothy C. Vaughn, 59, of Beachwood, beloved wife and soulmate to Richard for 40 joyous years, passed away suddenly on November 16.
She was born in Hoboken, New Jersey. She moved to Matawan, New Jersey where she grew up and graduated from St. John Vianney in 1974. Dorothy was an avid baker, crafter, and loved to sew. She enjoyed her monthly trips to Amish Country with her family.
Dorothy’s greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother. She worked in the medical field for over 18 years, and was loved by her co-workers and patients. Dorothy was the light of every room she walked into. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Richard, her two children Brian and Rebecca. She is also survived by her parents Art and Dorothy Ciser of Matawan, her siblings Linda & Scott Leemann of Bayville, Barbara Hudson of Brick, and Art and Jackie Ciser of Brick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River 08753. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 33 Woodland Road in Bayville.. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
