Equipment Failure Leads to Two-Hour Power Outage

Faulty equipment in a JCP&L substation in Pine Beach early this morning cut power to about 2,500 customers in Beachwood, Bayville and Ocean Gate, a company spokesman said.

The majority of customers affected were in Beachwood and Bayville, with a "sprinkling" of customers in Ocean Gate and Seaside Park, said Ronald Prater.

Power was restored after two hours, he said.
