The Central Regional Foundation (CR Foundation) will be holding its first Bi-Annual Garnett and Gold Gathering on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the high school football field. The Gathering will be held every odd numbered year before the Thanksgiving Day game where all Central Regional Alumni can come to network and reunite with classmates. The admission fee of $10 dollars will include a coffee or hot chocolate along with admission into the football game to watch the Central Regional Golden Eagles take on the Point Pleasant Boro Panthers. Breakfast sandwiches will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to the CR Foundation. There will be signs indicating each graduating class to make it easier to find your classmates. The graduating classes will be broken down in the following arrangement:
1956 – 1966, 1967 – 1977, 1978 – 1988, 1989 – 1999, 2000 – 2010, & 2011. Central Regional Alumni are everywhere so come out to network and catch up with old friends. If you have any questions about the Garnett and Gold Gathering please contact Dr. Parlapanides at 732-269-1100 ext. 206.
In addition, a new tradition will begin at Spicy’s on the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights where the Saturday after Thanksgiving will be open to all Central Regional Alumni for a free buffet from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. along with drink specials. This is courtesy of Mr. Wayne Cimorelli, owner of Spicey’s, whose children both are graduates of Central Regional.
