Evelyn M. Callan Of Bayville Dies At 90

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at St. Barnabas R.C. Church.

Evelyn M. (nee Fredericks) Callan, of Bayville, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Staten Island, NY, she moved to Bayville in 1962. She was employed as a secretary for H.I. Wright & Sons for over 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas R.C. Church of Bayville. She devoted her entire life to her family.

Evelyn was predeceased by her devoted husband, Robert in 1982; her parents, Joseph and Ida Fredericks and her beloved sister, Miriam Genau. She is survived by her sisters, Rita Hoffman and Frances Tatonetti and her children, Robert andhis wife Joyce, Diane Kosanke and her husband Joseph, Dennis and his wife Joy and Kevin and his wife Suzanne; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

Cremation was private under the direction of Ocean County Cremation Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 33 Woodland Ave., Bayville. Interment of cremains immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 56-80 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) or a charity of your choicecondolences-charities.aspx%3Fkeyword%3Dc would be appreciated.
