Former Pine Beach Elementary PTO Pres. Stole $14K In Funds: OCPO

The former Pine Beach Elementary Parent Teacher Organization president was charged Tuesday with stealing over $14,000 from the PTO bank account, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said. Jennifer Maguire made repeated cash withdrawals from the PTO account that coincided with deposits into her personal checking account, the OCPO announced Wednesday.

Maguire, of Beachwood, served as PRO president until May, according to the OCPO. She was charged with theft by unlawful taking, the OCPO said. Maguire, 48, was processed and released on a summons, according to the OCPO.

The OCPO's Economic Crime Unit conducted the investigation after receiving information about Maguire's handing of PRO finances, the OCPO said. Anyone with information can contact Detective Lindsay Llauget of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Economic Crime Unit at 732-929-2027.
