Founder's Day, San Gennaro Festival Set In Berkeley
The Sept. 19 event at Veterans Park will feature food, music, vendors, inflatables and fireworks.

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township residents are being invited to Veterans Park on Saturday, Sept. 19, for the township's San Gennaro Festival and Founder's Day celebration.
The event is scheduled to run from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
According to the event announcement, the festival will include food trucks and tents, craft vendors, face painting, live music throughout the day and fireworks. Inflatables also are planned from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. A $10 wristband will be required for the inflatables, and the announcement says payment will be cash only.

The event combines Berkeley Township's Founder's Day observance with a San Gennaro Festival celebration. The announcement invites residents to bring family and friends to the park for what it describes as a full day of food, music and activities.
A performance schedule released with the announcement lists Slap Happy from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sketchy Medicine from 6 to 7 p.m. and The Infernos Band from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The announcement also says there will be live music throughout the day in addition to those listed sets.

Mayor John Bacchione and the Township Council are the hosts of the event.
