Free Tree Seedlings To Be Available In Beachwood

Here's where and when you can pick them up as part of the New Jersey Tree Recovery program.

The New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign seeks to bring back the Shore tree line that Hurricane Sandy damaged. You can be part of that by picking up free seedlings in Beachwood.

You can pick up free seedlings from 5 to 8 p.m. April 26 at the Mayo Park Center, Clubhouse Way. If you can't make it, there will be other pickup dates throughout Ocean County in April.

To date, more than 332,982 trees have been distributed around New Jersey through this program, according to the Arbor Day Foundation. The New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign partners with the New Jersey Forest Service.
