Future Of Berkeley To Be Discussed At Public Workshop
The Public Visioning Workshop will discuss Berkeley's future, coming up with an outline for the next 20 years.

BERKELEY, NJ — What's in store for the future of Berkeley Township? Come find out with the Berkeley Plan Endorsement Advisory Subcommittee at their first Public Visioning Workshop.
This meeting, held at 6 p.m. on June 20 in the Municipal Building (627 Pinewald-Keswick Road), is set "to discuss and workshop the vision for the future of the Township," according to a public notice.
Public sessions are a requirement for Plan Endorsement. At these sessions, the future of Berkeley will be shared and the path to follow to achieve their vision.

The workshop will form a "Visioning Statement," which will outline the future of Berkeley over the next 20 years.

Plan Endorsement is a voluntary process that municipalities undertake to ensure coordination of state, county and municipal planning to achieve the goals and policies of the State Planning Act and the State Development and Redevelopment Plan.
Upon completion, the municipality becomes eligible for a host of state benefits.
Topics of discussion include, but are not limited to, climate resiliency, sustainability, hazard mitigation, land use, housing, economic development, infrastructure, circulation, cultural and historic preservation, open space and recreation.
