George R. Cornelius Of Bayville Dies At 86

George Cornelius, 86, of Bayville died peacefully on March 29, 2016 in Toms River.

He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, earning five bronze service medals. George was a devoted member of the Bayville Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from Berkeley Township Public Works Department and moved to Manchester.

He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis and his daughter Cathy Albrechinski. Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth and Herbert; five children, Doreen, Robert and his wife Charlotte, Michael, George, Raymond Joseph and his wife Joannie; his stepson John Mendez; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Monday, April 4 at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
