Gloria M. Doon Of Bayville Dies At 86

Gloria M. Doon, 86, of Bayville,passed away on Feb.15, 2015. Born and raised in Dover, NJ she has been a resident of Bayville since 1958.

Mrs. Doon was employed as a paralegal for Ocean County/ Monmouth County Legal Services in Toms River for 25 years before retiring. She was the founder, publisher and editor for a local newspaper in the 60’s known as “The Roto-Gravure” in Berkeley Township. She also was a member of the VFW Post #9503, Ladies Auxiliary of Berkeley Township.

Surviving are her two children, Honorable John Doon, Jr. and his wife Marie and Sally and Bob Flanegan; four grandchildren, John R. Doon, III, Bob and Lisa Flanegan , Christopher Flanegan and Erin and Justin Heffernan.

Viewing will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Boulevard in Bayville. The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home before leaving to celebrate a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at Saint Barnabas R.C. Church in Bayville. Burial will follow to Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
