Help Clean Up Berkeley During Earth Week
The annual Barnegat Bay Blitz, held during Earth Week (April 15 through 22), is a way for volunteers to help keep the watershed clean.
BERKELEY, NJ — Earth Week is April 15 through 22. And what better way to celebrate than by helping your community keep clean?
The annual Barnegat Bay Blitz, hosted by the Barnegat Bay Partnership, seeks volunteers to clean up the watershed during Earth Week.
"By removing bags, bottles, and butts to tires and larger items, Blitz volunteers make a difference!" the Barnegat Bay Partnership website reads.

The cleanup in Berkeley is set for April 19 at 9 a.m. It is a roadside cleanup of East Bayview Avenue. Volunteers are asked to email cleanup captain Crystal Pirozek to register as a volunteer, and then meet at the intersection of E. Bayview and Sloop Creek Road.
Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, gloves and dress appropriately. Check out additional tips here.
