Aug. 25
Field of Dreams in Toms River is hosting a "Family Game Night" for all ages and all abilities. It runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and you can register here.

Aug. 26
Clear the shelters! All month long, the Ocean County Animal Facilities are celebrating this annual campaign, and Saturday marks half-price adoptions at either the Jackson or Manahawkin shelter. Compete in the third annual Bags on the Beach Cornhole Tournament at the beach at Jenkinson's North from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Beachwood Community Day runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Birch & Surf Park with vendors, giveaways, pony rides, a petting zoo and much more.
The rescheduled Manchester Day kicks off at 2 p.m. at Harry Wright Lake with rides, games, fireworks and more.
Aug. 27
Learn the basics of surfing at NJ Surf School's Co-Ed Adult Surf Camp starting at 8:30 a.m. at Brick Beach 3 in Mantoloking.
Enjoy "Cafe con Leche with a Cop" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Church of Saint Anthony Claret in Lakewood.
