Holiday City Man Busted For Heroin Distribution

Investigation prompted by residents' concerns, police chief says.

Berkeley Township detectives arrested a Holiday City man and charged him with possession and distribution of heroin after a raid on a home Thursday, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Joseph Earley, 55, 5 New Castle Court, was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $5,000, the chief said.

“This investigation was started as result of information from concerned citizens within the Holiday City community,” the chief said.

The Berkeley Township patrol division, The Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 assisted. Residents are reminded to report suspicious activity to the Berkeley Township Police. This can be done anonymously by calling 732-341-1132 x 611.
