The Bayville man refused to let an "impatient" driver pass him in Lakewood, leading to the confrontation, according to police.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — A Bayville man was treated at a hospital after being pepper-sprayed by an "impatient driver," Lakewood police said.
The 26-year-old, unidentified by police, said that he was stopped at the intersection of River Avenue — also known as Route 9 — and Central Avenue, about 2:15 p.m. Monday.
He told police that when he stopped, he stayed stopped in the road to prevent what he described as an impatient driver from passing him, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
