Intoxicated Driver With Cocaine Hurts 3 In Berkeley Crash: Police
A woman was flown out with severe injuries, while two children had to go to the hospital. The other driver was charged.
BERKELEY, NJ — A Berkeley head-on crash severely injured a woman and hurt two children. The other driver was intoxicated and had cocaine on him, police said.
The crash took place Saturday near Double Trouble Road, south of the parkway entrance. A woman was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center, and two children in her vehicle also went to the hospital.
Robert Chelston, who drove the other vehicle, refused medical attention. He appeared to be under the influence and was arrested, police said.

Chelston, 33, was charged with cocaine possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and drug possession while operating a vehicle.
The roadway was shut down for several hours.
