Island Beach State Park's Annual Beach Plum Festival Coming Up This Sunday

The free popular event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park in Berkeley Township.

Members of the Friends of Island Beach State Park spend all year gearing up for the popular Beach Plum Festival.

On Sunday, they will celebrate all things beach plum, when the free festival gets underway at 9 a.m. at the first bathing beach pavilion at the park. But tours and demonstrations will take place in several areas of the park.

Although the festival is free, Friends of Island Beach State park members will be on hand if you want to make an $8 donation to help support the event, which is the group's main fundraiser of the year.
