June C. DeVellis Of Seaside Park Dies At 73

Services will be held on Monday and Tuesday.

June C. DeVellis, 73, of Seaside Park, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015.

Raised in Teaneck, she summered in Seaside Park until moving there permanently in 1996. June was a graduate of Academy of the Holy Angels, and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University.

She started her career on the American Stock Exchange with her father; then went on to teach history at St. Matthew’s School in Ridgefield. June was a communicant of St. Catharine of Siena Church in Seaside Park. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, on the Parish Council, and very active in church activities. June loved dogs, especially her beloved Black Lab, Elvis; and watching Ranger and Yankee games. Most of all, she loved her family, and will be dearly missed by them.

June was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. DeVellis in 2002 and her two grand-daughters. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Krayesky and her husband Dan of Brick, and Dana DeVellis-Schroeck and her husband Pete of Point Pleasant; and her two grandchildren, Michael and Marcus Krayesky.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10 at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 50 E St., Seaside Park. Burial will be immediately following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
