Kathleen A. Horner, Lifelong Bayville Resident, Secretary For Berkeley Township Police Detectives, Dies At 76

Services will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Timothy E. Ryan Home For Funerals

Kathleen A. Horner of Bayville, NJ, died on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was 76.

Kathleen was a lifelong resident of Bayville. She worked as a secretary for the Berkeley Township detectives' office in the Berkeley Township police department. She was the first matron in Berkeley Township.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Horner and her son Kevin Anderson.Surviving are her children Cathyjean Hall and her husband Ray of Bayville, Peggy Russell and her husband Rich of Ocean Gate, Lester Anderson and his wife Darlene of Bayville, Debbie Anderson of Bayville, stepson Scott Horner and his wife Stacie of Bayville, and stepdaughter Christine Horner of Pennsylvania; her sisters Gloria Plummer of New Hampshire and Marion Nouvemtne of Texas; her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren. Kathy will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for rescuing animals.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept.1, 2017 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals O’Connell Chapel, 706 Rt. 9, Bayville, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Committal will be private. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
