OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Summer has unofficially kicked off in New Jersey, and as we head into June this weekend, there are plenty of great events to check out.

This weekend in Ocean County is all about festivals, from seafood to music and more.

Summerfest Kick-Off Party

Point Pleasant Community Park, 2255 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant

On May 31 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy bands, food and a wine and beer tent the night before Summerfest as part of the kick-off.

Taste The Tide Seafood Festival

Bayview Park, 6805 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach Twp.

Indulge in fresh seafood, refreshing drinks and live music from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 1. You're supporting a good cause, too, as all proceeds go towards food banks in Southern Ocean.

34th Annual Summerfest In The Park

Point Pleasant Community Park, 2255 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant

The main event is June 1 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with food trucks, vendors, live music and inflatables for the kids. Admission is free.

Carnival VIP Party

Lucky Leo's Amusements, 315 Boardwalk, Seaside Heights
