Lacey Police Charge Bayville Man With Heroin Possession After Shoplifting Incident In Walmart
Christopher Wells fled from Kohl's employees after reportedly shoplifting two cameras and a GPS unit, police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested a Bayville man for possession of heroin and shoplifting after an officer stopped him for driving erratically on Lacey Road, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Lieutenant Michael DiBella was on patrol at 2:19 p.m. on Oct. 19 when he spotted the vehicle near Trenton Avenue.
Investigation revealed that Christopher Wells, 30, Roosevelt Avenue, had just fled from Kohl‘s employees after he reportedly shoplifted two cameras and a GPS unit valued at $400. Further investigation revealed that Wells was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, the chief said.

Wells was taken to police headquarters, processed, and charged with shoplifting, possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wells was also charged with tailgating, failure to signal, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, Paprota said.
The vehicle he was operating was impounded.
