Michael Sean Curivan, Formerly Of Ocean Gate, Dies At 49
Palm City, Florida resident was a Central Regional and Rutgers University graduate.

Michael Sean Curivan, 49 of Palm City, FL. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2015.
Michael was born on September 1, 1965 in East Orange, NJ to Eugene and Patricia Curivan. He was raised in Ocean Gate, N.J. where he attended Ocean Gate Elementary School and graduated from Central Regional High School in 1983.

He also attended and graduated from Ocean County Community College with an AA and Rutgers University in 1989 with a BA in Communications. Michael met the love of his life, Tracey, while attending Rutgers University.
They married on June 22, 1991 at Kirkpatrick Chapel at Rutgers University and made Manchester, NH their home for six years. They moved to Tracey’s hometown in Barrington, RI in 1995 where they raised their beautiful children, Matthew and Megan until moving to Palm City, FL in 2003.

Michael worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals from 1992 until his retirement due to disability in 2010. He started as a sales representative and later became a regional analyst, regional business leader and finally a managed markets promotions leader until his retirement.
Michael was an active member and volunteer at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and School in Barrington, RI. After moving to Florida in 2003, he became an active member and volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic Church and School in Stuart, FL. Michael was also a tireless fundraiser and volunteer for both the Jensen Beach High School Football and Baseball Booster Clubs. Michael was his children’s biggest fan. He coached both Matthew and Megan’s soccer teams when they were younger. He never missed a single music concert or sporting event in which his children participated. He was always there to cheer them on and encourage them.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tracey; his children Matthew and Megan; his father, Eugene Curivan; his sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Scott Ritchie; his nephews Kody and Noah Daniels; father and mother-in-law, Lynn and Carol Dittmar; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Garry Bryan. Michael is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Curivan and his faithful dog, Ginger.
Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home in Palm City from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 11 with a gathering for friends and family to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Family Center located at 1200 East 10th Street, Stuart, FL. 34996.
