Miserable Beach Weather From Tropical Storm Hermine On The Way:National Weather Service

Enjoy the nice weather while you can on Ocean County beaches today.

But don't get used to it. Tropical Storm Hermione is on the way.

Today will be sunny, with highs only in the upper 70s. Beach winds will be from the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect rough surf with waves around three feet, with northerly swells of two feet. The ocean water temperature is 77 degrees.

There's a moderate risk of rip currents today, which means wind or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Always bring a flotation device with you in the water and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the lifeguards.

Chances are you'll see a lot of red and yellow flags up and down the coast over the next few days.Dangerous rip currents are expected Saturday through Labor Day, even if Hermine varies in her track.

"All days will likely feature a moderate to high risk of risk of rip currents" the NWS says..

Minor to moderate coastal flooding could occur, especially during high tide.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet was at 9:02 p.m. Low tide will roll in at 3:18 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:17 p.m.
