National Weather Service Issues Coastal Flood Advisory Until Midnight
Localized moderate and minor flooding forecast with next high tide tonight

The National Weather Service is calling for widespread minor coastal flooding and localized moderate flooding on the New Jersey coast tonight.
The advisory began at 6 p.m. and will expire at midnight, according to the NWS.
Wave heights on the ocean waters off New Jersey and Delaware will be between seven feet to 10 feet. High tide will arrive between 7:15 and 8:15 tonight. The surge will be between 1 foot to 1.5 feet above the astronomical tide.

High tide will arrive on the back bays later than on the oceanfront.
Some localized roadway flooding is expected. Some roads may be closed due to high water. Usually the most vulnerable roads will flood.
