New Fee For Boaters At This Jersey Shore Beach
Boaters will now have to pay to get on this beach.
ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK, NJ — Boaters entering Island Beach State Park from Tices Shoal or Barnegat Bay will now have to pay a fee.
Those visitors will have to pay $3 in cash as of July 1, Island Beach State Park shared on social media.
Visitors can also purchase a "NJ State Park Service Walk-In Pass" for $50, which allows for a total of six visitors to enter the park.

Visitors can also use a NJ Parks Senior Pass to enter the park. This allows for a total of six visitors to enter the park. Senior Passes are free to all NJ residents 62 and older.
Weekday entry for vehicles is $6 for NJ residents and $12 for non-residents. Weekend/holiday entry is $10 for NJ residents and $20 for non-residents.

Lifeguards will be on duty at A-7 starting July 1. Lifeguards will be on duty seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
