New Ocean Gate Restaurant Wants To Bring Life To The Area
Rosie's is a family-owned and operated new restaurant run by Ocean Gate locals that offers a blend of seafood and American fare.
OCEAN GATE, NJ — The ribbon was cut and Rosie's in Ocean Gate is now open for business.
The newest addition to Ocean County's many family-owned and operated restaurants blends seafood and American fare in an updated environment.
Owner Robert Lange, a lifelong Ocean Gate resident, said he had always wanted to do something with the building if he had a chance.

The location was previously Yolanda's River House, which was owned by an elderly couple. When the husband passed away, his widow was looking to sell the business, Lange said.
Rosie's is named after Lange's grandmother, who passed away a few years back, Lange said. "We did it for her," he said. A photo of her adorns the wall inside.

The interior was redone, and now offers multiple dining areas with private spots for parties. It even has a charming "Instagram wall" for guests to take photos. A small deck area offers water views, while outdoor dining is planned for next year.
The menu has classics like fresh oysters, lobster bisque and short ribs, but also has some unique offerings like homemade edamame dumplings and a creamy seafood risotto.
Lange said that with the opening of Rosie's, he hopes to bring back life to Ocean Gate.
Check out photos of Rosie's below, and visit the restaurant at 401 Monmouth Ave, starting July 29. Visit the Rosie's Facebook page for more information.
