NJ 9th District: Connors, Rumpf, Gove Win Senate, Assembly Seats
The Republicans were returned for another term in the Legislature. All have served for more than 10 years.
NEW JERSEY — Republicans Christopher Connors, Brian Rumpf and DiAnne Gove were returned to office in New Jersey's 9th Legislative District by voters on Tuesday, according to unofficial results.
Connors, who has served in the state Senate since 2008 and has been in the state Legislature since he was elected to the Assembly in 1989, received 60,674 votes. David Wright, the Democrat who was challenging for the seat, received 25,599, according to unofficial tallies published by the Associated Press.
In the Assembly race, Rumpf received 60,288 votes and Gove received 59,108, more than twice the number cast for Democrats Alexis Jackson and Kristen Henninger-Holland. Jackson received 25,733 and Henniger-Holland received 25,478, according to unofficial results published by the Associated Press.

Rumpf has served in the Assembly since June 2003. Gove was sworn into her Assembly seat in December 2009.
The results remain unofficial until certified by the clerks in Ocean, Atlantic and Burlington counties. The 9th District encompasses Galloway Township and Port Republic in Atlantic County, Bass River, Tabernacle and Washington Township in Burlington, and the Ocean County towns of Barnegat Township, Barnegat Light, Beach Haven, Beachwood, Berkeley Township, Eagleswood Township, Harvey Cedars, Lacey Township, Little Egg Harbor Township, Long Beach Township, Ocean Township (Waretown), Ocean Gate, Pine Beach, Seaside Park, Ship Bottom, South Toms River, Stafford Township, Surf City and Tuckerton.
